Lequient Bethel, 22,
sat at home in Nassau, Bahamas, on the first day of classes in the
spring 2002 semester. He had arrived home just before Christmas
2001 after leaving Morehead (Ky.) State University, where he drifted
through four different majors in a two-year span. He says he was
running from God’s will until he decided to rededicate his
life to Christ and attend Southeastern College of the Assemblies
of God in Lakeland, Fla., in 2002. But he lacked the $5,500 necessary
for a new student visa.

Evangelism on the road: a family tradition
Music has always been
part of Evan Cummins’ life — he’s been playing
drums since age 5 — and he hopes it will be the gift that
propels his future in ministry. Cummins accepted Christ as Savior
in 1997 at age 15 while living at Fort Peck Indian Reservation in
Poplar, Mont., where he was born and raised. Within the year, he
was traveling to various Indian reservations throughout Canada and
the western United States with his family evangelizing and playing
guitar in the family band.

and attends Western Bible College in Phoenix. In the early 1990s,
Jordan’s life was in shambles. Realizing he might end up in

with me, You’ve got me.”
