Today is a good time to ask

 

SPRINGFIELD, MO. — Each Easter Christ’s resurrection is celebrated with special sermons, musicals, dramatic reenactments and family gatherings. It’s a day to express gratitude to the Lord and to reflect on His gift of salvation and the promise of eternal life.

But Easter can also be the day your life changes. Whether you are contemplating a relationship with Jesus or you are a believer desiring spiritual renewal, this day is important to your future.

The world changed nearly 2,000 years ago when Jesus stepped from His grave. Today He wants your world to change. He wants you to step from death into life, from discontent into fulfillment.

To receive Christ as your Savior, go to the ABCs of salvation. If you’re already a believer and desire the Lord to refresh your spirit, simply confess your need for more of Him. Just ask for His help.

Too many people do not receive the best from the Lord because they fail to invite Him to do a work in their lives.

Matthew 7:7-11 (NIV) says, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!”

This Easter perhaps the best way you can express your gratitude for Christ’s work on the cross and His resurrection is by asking Him to do a new work in your life.

This Easter — just ask.
