Bewilderment

Do you feel a sense of bewilderment? Do you feel confused, not knowing where to turn? Does it seem there’s no way out?
When not knowing what to do or where to turn, follow these words of the Psalmist: “I will lift up my eyes to the hills — where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth” (Psalm 121:1, NIV).
Jesus fed the 5,000 and walked on water (John 6). After being fed and seeing many miracles, many no longer followed. Jesus asked Peter and the other disciples, “You do not want to leave too, do you?” Peter responded, “Lord, to whom shall we go?” (John 6:66-68).
Don’t be confused or bewildered. Jesus, the light of the world (John 8:12) will guide you out of your darkness and uncertainty. You will know where you are going and how to get there.
David spoke of being led by the still waters (Psalm 23:2). Following Jesus, you can say with the writer of “Amazing Grace,” “I once was lost, but now I’m found, was blind, but now I see.”
