Pressure

The Psalmist said, “Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me” (Psalm 119:143, KJV).
Pressure affects people in different ways. It can strengthen or weaken. When under pressure, it’s important how you respond.
As David waited before God in prayer, God became his rock, salvation and defense, providing a firm foundation (Psalm 61:1,2). Peter learned to cast all his care upon the Lord (1 Peter 5:7).
Paul said, “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed” (2 Corinthians 4:8,9). Knocked down, but not out!
God will help you overcome pressure. The Psalmist encourages us, “Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved” (Psalm 55:22).
Invite Jesus into your life, and He’ll give you rest (Matthew 11:28).
